Historic
Re-enactments – Students develop &
perform plays about major events in history
such as Lewis & Clark, Civil &
Revolutionary Wars, Industrial Revolution,
Renaissance, Medieval Times, Roman Empire,
Greeks, Black History, and more. Grades
4-7.
Shakespeare
in Short – Two professional actors
and a director demonstrate/mentor
Shakespeare’s classics to students to help
these timeless words and ideas come to life
and have relevance. Grades 5-12.
Create-a-Play
–
Professional director guides the class in
writing a short play based on a curriculum
topic. Additional artist can be included to
coordinate students in creating set and
costumes. Grade 5-12
Academy
Program – Creative programs that
supplement law, government, economics,
business, journalism, media, science, and
technology school curricula. Grades 5-12
Multiple
Intelligences (MI) Programs
– Using
Howard Gardner’s philosophy, we identify
students’ strengths and apply MI concepts
to classroom subjects in order to reach
children most effectively. Gr 1-8
Art
Programs – Using various mediums,
students create art at their grade level.
It can supplement the curriculum, teach
career skills, or help students . Grades
1-12

Music
Programs – Depending on the grade,
our teaching artists present the history of
music and how it relates to the music of
today
Mime
It! –
Through special exercises and body
training, students learn how to communicate
physically and create their own mime
performances. Grades 1-12
Conflict
Resolution - Students use small
group and role-play activities to create
original theater, poetry, and spoken word
pieces. Grades 6-7.
Write-On!
Student Playwriting Program
– Working
with a professional playwright, students
learn the elements of creating a story
line, character development, relationships,
and collaboration. Then they write a
10-minute play for student actors and a
director. Grades 7-12.

Literacy
Interdisciplinary Improvisation Theatre
(LIIT) – Theatrical
improvisation helps at-risk & special
ed students work together, think
critically, and develop conflict resolution
skills. Gr 9-12.
Public
Speaking for High School Students
– Students
learn presentation techniques to help them
speak in front of others, to enhance job
skills, and to overcome anxiety. Grades
9-12.

Performances
Moby &
the Mariners – An interactive, adventurous
retelling of a captain’s battle with the whale
Moby Dick. Includes the history of Sailors Snug
Harbor. A 45-minute show with songs. 3 actors.
Grades 2-5.
Charlotte’s
Web – This
classic E.B. White tale of true friendship and
loyalty is a one-hour play with 6 actors.
Grades K-5
