Musical Theatre Kids Class – FINDING NEMO

Disney’s Finding Nemo is a 30-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Students learn:

…focus, imagination, creation, and theatre games, while rehearsing for a final performance.  A fun way to work with other young people! Students have the opportunity to develop theatre and public presentation skills as they rehearse for a production where they can make friends and work as a team.

Musical Theatre Kids class – Seussical JR.

This popular show that ran on Broadway and toured the world transports audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus. The Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Musical Theatre Kids class – The Addams Family

Wednesday Addams, comically fascinated by the macabre, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. She confides in her father and begs him not to tell mother. Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything changes for the family on the night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
