Six, short, brand-new original one-act plays about our favorite boats, from writers throughout the U.S.
Sundog Theatre’s Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry 2021 will be presented virtually due to Covid-19, beginning March 20 at 7 PM EST and ending April 3, 2021. Back by popular demand, Scenes will also be available April 6 to April 11, 9PM. Ticket registration on Eventbrite closes April 10, 12 AM.
Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry is our annual presentation of six new, one-act plays about our favorite boats – the Staten Island Ferries. Yearly, writers are asked to incorporate a theme in their submissions. This year, playwrights from throughout the US wrote scripts that illustrate current Covid-19 realities, telling stories through either a humorous or dramatic light. A group of four readers chose six of them for a financial award and remote production.
This past year, most conversations and news dealt with the pandemic. Writers presented different takes on it. Some plays are funny, while others are poignant and thought provoking. We think you will enjoy what our talented team has created for you.
Our production/creative team for this year’s show: Producer Susan Fenley; Assistant Producer and Graphic/Web Designer Gina Policastro; and Virtual Production Manager/Video Editor Benjamin Kanes.
