Sandra Catena, Dance Teaching Artist

May 18, 2017 By

In February of 2011, I was contacted by Sundog Theatre to teach children and their parents dubke dance (Middle Eastern line dance.) As it turned out, the children in my class were age 4! They were adorable and their parents attentive. There was one child who got out front, danced her heart out and flirted with the audience! I believe this workshop presented new music and ways of moving the body-we all had fun in the process. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to work with Sundog Theatre and the Staten Island school system.Sandra Catena, Dance Teaching Artist
