Description

Sundog Theatre brings you Scrooge, the three Ghosts, Tiny Tim, and a host of other Dickensian characters in this beloved tale of redemption and enchantment. The show is geared toward young audiences, and is appropriate for all ages. Charles Dickens first told his tale in the mid 1800’s, and it has remained a favorite story – humorous, touching, and joyous.

Sundog’s presentation stays true to Dickens’ original story, adapted for the stage by Cash Tilton and original songs by Susan Mondzak

Children enjoy richly drawn characters that pop out of the book and onto the stage, and they are thrilled when they see a child chosen from the audience to portray Tiny Tim!

In the guise of a ghost story, A Dickens Holiday Musical explores universal themes and is a literary classic. And the show celebrates the spirit of the season whether it is Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa. Audience members leave the theatre singing the songs!

Reviews

We have worked with Sundog Theatre for the past seven years, in the capacity of hiring them to produce and perform shows for us and our audiences. Always has the company turned out high-caliber shows and conducted themselves with the utmost professional demeanor - from their punctuality and the quality of actors to the appeal of their shows to our audiences. All audiences, including parents and children from Staten Island and other boroughs have seen Sundog's shows at CSI and have enjoyed them. That is why we continue to work with this company. I would recommend Sundog Theatre to anyone who is interested in booking any of their shows, funding them, or attending their performances.Maureen Hartje, Enrichment Through the Arts
