Ellis Island Celebration at St. Pat’s
St. Patrick School students celebrate Ellis Island with a day-long program March 20 that included creating Statue of Liberty torches, visiting Ellis Island websites, investigating their countries of origin, watching a National Park Service film on the history of Ellis Island and discussing their family histories. Students and their guests also watched a musical, “Ellis Island: Gateway to a Dream,” presented by the Sundog Theater Company. At the end of the show, students had a lively discussion with the actors.
