Sundog Theatre is pleased to announce the 2016-2017 Season. The first presentation will be A Christmas Carol at the Newton Theatre, New Jersey, on December 15 at 7:00pm and at the Bergen Performing Arts Center on December 18 at 1:00pm and 4:00pm.
“Sundog brings to Staten Island a season of brand new, original productions as well as contemporary and educational theatre,” explains Susan Fenley, Sundog’s executive director. The shows are presented in various venues throughout the Island to reach our diverse communities. And the New Jersey tour gives us a chance to connect with additional audiences. There is something for everyone here.”

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Wagner College Stage One Theatre
Through hilarious, touching, and catchy songs and dialogue, spelling bee contestants reveal their hopes, struggles, and passions as they make their way through the competition with an engaging, tuneful score by William Finn. Directed by Tina Barone.
ABOUT SUNDOG THEATRE
Formed in 2002, Sundog Theatre has been presenting original and Contemporary Theatre for 15 years. The arts company is unique on Staten Island in that it also presents culturally-based school programming rooted in theatre, visual arts, dance, music and literacy. Programs are offered to students in kindergarten through high school in New York City’s public and private schools as well as community-based organizations. In addition, Sundog Theatre offers acting classes for children ages 6 to 14 year-round, and it tours productions throughout the year.
Among the thought-provoking theatre the company has staged are favorites like The Fantasticks, Roar of the Greasepaint…, Lovers & Other Strangers, Charlotte’s Web, and A Christmas Carol.
